WhatsApp rolled out several new features in 2021, with more on the way. In recent weeks, WhatsApp has been seen rolling out a host of upcoming features in 2022.
Some of the features below are currently in progress, while others are reported in beta testing. WhatsApp was reportedly caught trying to Instagram reels compatibility on the service. This ranges from masking last seen from selected friends to signing out of WhatsApp and erasing already broadcast messages at any time.
1. The WhatsApp Community function
WhatsApp is working and functioning on a new community feature similar to synchronisation Groups and Channels. This is not the same as the function of the current group of WhatsApp. With this newly coming WhatsApp feature, group admins will have full effect on many functionalities of the app.
Admin can set up up to 10 groups within a community and send text messages to all of them at the same time. End-to-end community conversations and chats will be secured. It can be anticipated that this feature is going to be available in a very short time.
2. WhatsApp Logout feature
Upcoming WhatsApp features like logout will be a multi-device functionality. It is going to be available this year. Users will be able to log out of their WhatsApp account from their smartphone in the same way that they can check other social networking applications.

3. WhatsApp Instagram Reels
WhatsApp is working on a new upcoming features. It will enable users to watch Instagram Reels directly within the messaging app. According to sources, this is a component of WhatsApp’s goal of integrating with other Facebook owned applications. I hope users will really enjoy it.
4. Read later feature
WhatsApp may soon update the Archived Conversations feature, so you can read them later. Viewers will not receive alerts for text messages from the chat that are about to go to the read later section.

5. Show the profile photo in text notifications
The instant-messaging software is building and developing a unique feature that will show a user’s profile photo in iOS system notifications when the user receives a new text from friends or a group.

6. Time limit for removing sent messages
Users can currently delete messages on WhatsApp in up to 4,096 seconds or 68 minutes 16 seconds (1 hour 8 minutes and 16 seconds). As per current reports, the meta-owned application is rolling out a new beta release that will completely remove this restriction.
