Warm weather means it’s time to finally leave the comfort of your home and head outside. But for me, spring is more of a welcomed excuse to refresh my wardrobe. I started putting away my bulky sweaters and heavy coats as soon as the temperature began to rise this month. To ensure that you’re dressed for the season the moment it arrives, we asked Pinterest for some of the most searched-for spring fashion trends—many of which you’ll recognize from the runways.

“A lot of the trends we saw in the spring 2017 runway shows play off the classic balance of hard and soft, an intersection of utility and ease. “Sleeve slits and ruffles are a great way to play into romantic vibes, or try out the corset belt or the new trench for structured yet feminine looks.”

Here are the 10 trends we can’t wait to try out this spring.

1. Statement Sleeves

Off-the-shoulder tops were popular last summer and it seems people are excited to bring the trend back: Pinterest saw a 564 percent search increase this year. However, the style isn’t the only way to jazz up your look.

2. Backless Shoes

As the weather warms up, our motivation to spend time buckling complicated straps goes down—fast. Ditch your office heels and slide your feet into loafers or mules like the pair pictured above from Erdem’s spring 2017 collection. The slip-ons can easily take you from work to outdoor drinks with friends. Considering the popularity of mules last year, the trend continues to “[stay] steady,” with searches up 289 percent.

3. Ruffles

Gone are the days when ruffles were reserved for young girls. Brands such as Brandon Maxwell and Alexander McQueen adopted the supersweet finish to their spring 2017 collection, adding a touch of romance to an otherwise simple look. Expect to see ruffles everywhere from sweater sleeves to skirt hems.

4. Paperbag-Waist Pants

This runway trend, which is up 682 percent in search, is easier to pull off than you might think. Style high-waisted pants with a simple blouse to look sophisticated and professional—just like the models at Marissa Webb’s spring 2017 show. Paperbag-waist pants are also perfect if you’re looking to jazz up a minimalist top. Take, for example, the outfit Sienna Miller was recently spotted in: Her oversized trousers make a major statement paired with a plain black sweater.
